all you need is a date. It’s time to stop wishing your crush will ask you to the fall formal and start taking action. Follow these steps to score that hot Homecoming
date.
Break the ice
You’ve been eyeing him across the hall but haven’t actually met yet?
What are you waiting for! Introduce yourself and give him a compliment. Then, break
the ice by chatting about something you both have in common.
Stand out
Raise your hand in math, go for that goal in gym or snag that solo in
music class. Put yourself in his field of vision and he’ll be sure to remember
you.
Make sure he’s available
Ask around to make sure your crush is single and available. If he already has a girlfriend, he probably
wouldn’t (and shouldn’t) ask you to Homecoming.
Get to know each other
Be friendly and get to know your crush so he can see how awesome you
are. Try sitting next to him in the auditorium, joining him and his buds for
flag football or inviting him to a co-ed bowling night.
Drop a hint
Casually bring up that you’re going to Homecoming but you don’t have a
date yet. Fingers crossed he’ll follow your queue.
Be confident
Confidence is a super attractive quality; so smile, keep your head up
and look him in the eye.
Make it a group thing
Go to Homecoming with a group of your besties and guy
friends. You’ll get to dance with everyone, spend more time with your friends
and keep it casual around your crush. Be sure to get a pic with that hottie
before the night ends.
Ask him!
Why waste your time wishing that he’ll ask you when you could be taking charge. If he turns you down, you’ll still have time to find another cute
date.
