The Dirt: Why are guys so fickle with their feelings?


 
"Do guys change their mind about liking you? Last year I really liked a guy but he said he just wanted to be friends. Now, he acts like he really likes me. Could he have just changed his mind?”

 

His answer: “Yeah, I’d definitely say guys change their minds on liking someone,” reveals Will, 16. “He might not have put any thought into it before, he could have been involved with someone else when you asked last, or it’s possible he’s gotten to know you better.”

 

Decoded: It’s definitely possible that he could have changed his mind—we are human after all. Crushes usually develop after you’ve spent a ton of time with another person and gotten to know them. Maybe he now sees you in a completely different light, or maybe he was getting over a rough break-up. Any number of things could have sparked his interest in you.

 

Your move: The important thing is that you weren't waiting around for someone to change their mind (right?). If you’re still into him, go for it. If you’ve moved on, so will he eventually.

Ok so I like two guys right now. One is a new guy that I don't have classes with but he's on my bus and I see him often. I can't figure out what to say to him! And the other guy is a guy that I've liked before and he's known that. He teases me, but he isn't mean and he is always talking to me when we have class together. My one friend even commented and said "he's always turned around talking to you! He never faces forward!" but I don't know if he actually likes me. We texted each other every day last summer and now he won't respond. But he acts so flirty with me in class that I don't know what to do! Help please!

There's this guy that a kinda like and i'm think he likes me too except im not sure. Do you think he does? Yesterday he asked me a simple question in science like "what page are we on?" and i told him. Then his friend who was sitting next to him said, "Psst! james!!!". He looked over and his friend gave him the thunmbs up sign and smiled. And then in the next period his friend looked over at me, looked at james and said something i didnt understand but he seemed to understand. They smiled and laughed too. Do any of these things mean anything??? If so what?

I'm not sure what all the whispering is about, but he might just have really wanted to know what page you were on! There's no rush to do anything yet and it sounds like he's interested in at least being friends, so try getting to know him more and see how he acts around you then.

Well I like this super cute boy in my class, but I'm not really sure if he likes me or not. He talks to me A LOT and whenever he's around me he seems to joke around a lot. Ive caught him looking at me a couple times, and sometimes it really seems like he's flirting. Yesterday my friend told me that he told her the he liked me! I was s excited, but today he asked me if I knew who he liked and I said no because I didnt want him to be mad at my friend for telling me. Then he told me to tell her that the girl he said he liked (apparently me) he didn't actually like, he just thought she was pretty. What? So he doesn't like me? Or was he just saying that because he wanted her t think he didn't like me? I don't know what to do...

MOD MOD okay soo a few weeks ago this guy told me that he might like me and i didnt really much about it! but the problem now is that im starting to like him but he is a huge flirt Frown i just got back from a homecoming dance and he danced a little with me but then he was slow dancing with this girl and she kissed him on the cheek and they were dancing really close to eachother durring the fast songs Cry i dont kno if i shuld just fess up and tell him or just forget about it!! this is the first guy i have actually liked that might actually like me back!!!

If he told you that he might like you, he might have been afraid you didn't like him back, or he might have not been sure how he felt. If you want to tell him, there's no harm in that since he already tried bringing it up with you. And if it turns out he's into someone else, there will be plenty of other guys down the road Smile
