If you had the power to create the perf guy, would you? GL introduces "Eve & Adam"

Crunch. That was the last sound Evening Spiker remembers hearing as a car smashed her tiny body. But she didn’t just hear it—she felt it, too. She felt her leg completely sever from her hip, her ribs crush into tiny pieces, her arm get smashed into a stump. She couldn’t move. Surely she was dead…but where was the dark tunnel? The white light?

The search for perfection
But in Eve & Adam by Michael Grant and Katherine Applegate, Evening. wasn’t dead. She was very much alive—and in the worst pain she could ever possibly imagine. The air rang with earsplitting screams…was that her? Finally, everything went black.

Now awake, Evening blinks back tears as she realizes she’s recovering in her mom’s research lab, Spiker’s Biotech. She’s under the best care she could hope for. But Evening soon realizes that if she didn’t die of her near-fatal wounds, then she’d surely die of boredom.

To fend off her misery, Evening's mother gives her a special project: Create a perfect, real-life boy as a new companion. Evening uses a super detailed simulation device to DIY the ultimate guy—and names him Adam. He’ll be perfect—won’t he?

As Evening’s strange story continues, she meets a super hot (but sorta strange) boy named Solo. He’s worked at Spiker’s Biotech his entire life, but Evening has a feeling there’s a lot more to Solo than anyone really knows.

And, actually, there’s a lot of stuff happening at Spiker’s that seems a li’l off. With the help of Solo, Evening sets out to discover what’s going on—and together Evening and Solo learn secrets so wild they could totally change the world as they know it.
