President Obama's biggest blush much moment

Next week, Nick News will premiere its 2012 election special, hosted by Linda Ellerby. Last month, the show covered this election’s most prominent issues. This coming Monday, you’ll be able to watch President Obama answer questions posed by kids like you…including what his most embarrassing moment has been so far.

According to Reuters, Obama said, “Running into the wall is par for the course for me. I’m running into doors and desks all the time.” Ouch!

Nick News has been running specials like this since 1996, along with a special election that allows kids to vote for the president—in five of the six elections they’ve held, kids have picked the prez! Usually, both the Democratic and Republican candidates for president answer kids’ questions on camera for Nick News (though both George W. Bush and John Kerry refused to take part in 2004). However, Mitt Romney has decided to opt out of the special this year, so while you’ll be able to see the president’s Q&A, the special will only show previously taped video clips of the former governor.

Mark your calendars, babes: You’ll be able to see President Obama answering questions from kids like you Monday, Oct. 15, on Nickelodeon. Click here to find out more.

i agree with @sunshine...the.great.escape (lol long nickname)you shouldnt discuss politics and religion because 1.we're net old enough to vote ( so we cant really even do anything anyway) and 2. our opinions about religion and politics kinda tear us apart. i mean i have a friend whos all obama, but i dont want him to be elected again, and that used to affect our friendship. i realized it is silly to do that because were teeagers and shes still a good person. i also have muslim friends, and im catholic. but were still good friends so..yeah lol.

I don't agree with Obamas policies or or his standing on issues such as abortion, but you're right, everyone has their own opinion Smile

I think it's great that kids and teens are being encouraged to consider presidential candidates. To those of you who said that we are simply "too young" to worry about it, I respectfully disagree. I think that learning about the "real world" is a wonderful educational experience, that not only helps us become more knowledgeable in terms of current events, but allows us to become more mature by making independent decisions, even if we are not allowed to vote for our beliefs yet. And yes, we are all born biased with our parents' and friends' points of view, but that does not mean we cannot have different opinions if something we are told is right doesn't sit well with us. I think political threads online should not be about whether Obama or Romney is better, but about popular issues like gay rights, abortion, & legalizing marijuana. Maybe some parents think that their children should not be exposed to these issues, but they are real issues, and we all learn about them at some point.

Nick is not trying to promote Obama, but Romney decided not to show up by choice, so that is his loss. I think it is good that they are teaching younger kids about politics because it is good to know what's happening in our country. Obama definitely shows tons of interest in helping people and the environment. Way to go!

not to be rude, but i think it is ridiculous that people people on here are aruging about politics when nobody is even old enough to vote! plus, the only things that most people know about the candidates are the ads on tv bashing the other candidate or what their parents tell them. those aren't helpful, you can make anybody look bad. they always say that the two things you should never discuss are politics and religion....i just dont think that it's worth arguing about political views on here. no offense meant to anybody here!

MOD MOD MOD!!!!!!!!
MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD!!!!!!!!!
I read somewhere that vitamins make you gain weight. Is that seriously true? And also, there is a nice funny and smart boy that isn't in my classes, , he may like me but I think I'm friend zoned, a hot smart funny guy who only flirts with me and basically only me but my friend likes him, and then a guy who was sooooo mean to me last year but now is okay he is smart funny too I think he likes me, and a nice funny smart guy that talks too me but is the 2nd most popular guy in the school and possibly a player. Any of them should I rule out? And which one is best? Thanks so long sorry it's important!!!!!!

Hey girl,

I don't think vitamins make you gain weight, they are just nutritional supplements! I can't tell you which guy is best for you--it's up to you to decide which one you get along with best! If your friend likes one of them, though, I would talk to her before you do anything to make sure she's okay with it--you don't want to endanger a friendship just for a chance with a guy! The best thing about being young is that you don't have to decide, so there's no need to rush--just keep hanging out with all of them and see which one you enjoy spending time with the most!

@Kstar101

I'm sorry if I offended you, I really just don't think a president can do everything. No president can be perfect, but I think he's done a darn good job. But ofcourse, thats just my oppinion. Smile

Um, did anyone else who commented here actually read the article?! It says that Romney opted out of the special- meaning he didn't CARE enough to come! Nick isn't promoting Obama, he was just the only one of the two candidates who knew it was important enough to even show up. To me, Obama seems like he's smart enough to know that kids have an interest in politics and want their questions answered too.

Hello? Nick isn't trying to promote Obama, if you read the article CAREFULLY it says that Romney opted out of the special! Romney could've decided to show up and show his care for educating ALL Americans about politics, but no, he decided kids weren't worth his time. Rock on, Obama, for caring about the youth!

I don't think nick is promoting anyone more than the other. Romney did not want to participate. That doesn't mean they should cancel the show- it was his choice. I also think people should lay off the Obama hate for a little while. After all he IS our president so no matter how you feel I think you should be just a teensy bit more respectful (not to call anyone DISrespectful!). That said, I am SO tuning in!

Okay... maybe the real issue here is that when there are swing states where both candidates are tied, they should be appealing to adult audiences, as opposed to kids. I understand what Nick is trying to do, but if I were a campaign manager, I would probably see better uses of their time. And I'm not even going to start commenting on some of the uninformed things that you all are posting on here.

@txtingirl, Obama may have ended the war in Iraq, but what about Afganistan?? He may have created some jobs, but umemployment is still high, despite the fact it suddenly came down not long after Obama's failed debate. Obama is not helping us. Now, I am not necessarily a Romney supporter either, but i think he is better than Obama. He lied to us about what happened in Libya, he gave us OBAMACARE...not a good President

@sfluv, so.. I'm guessing that your parents are republicans, my parents are democrats, but I'm going to have a clean slate on my opinion until I'm 18. As in, I won't talk bad about mitt or other republicans.

I'm so not watching. Neither should younger kids. They are to young to get into politics. I know why Obama is doing this. So the kids can beg their parents to vote for him. Kids nowadays are getting really spoiled. Vote for Romney because he will get us out of our dept and help the USA. The only thing Obama did was hurt America more. NOBAMA! Go ROMNEY! P.S. Don't listen to the bad commercials about Romney. He's better than Obama and will help our country. And really who wants Obama Care? There's a chance you can get a terrible doctor. I hope Romney wins. He will help our country! Vote Romney!

@sfluv wow really? The reason nick is promoting him is because he is our current president! Also he ended to war in iraq! He made education a national priority! He made environment a priority and helped create jobs through that!

I totally agree with @sfluv. He said he has worked to get the trillions of dollars to be gone, but no!! He hasn't!! At least Romney is actually maybe probably going to try!!!

@Sfluv, no offense, but if you would actually take time out of your day to read it then you would find that they were going to ask both of them questions but Mitt Rowney backed out of it. And I don't really think that asking Obama embarrassing questions is promoting him.

I think that it's ridiculous to think that Nick is trying to promote Obama. Romney didn't want to do it, fine, that's his problem. I personally don't support Obama but really, they're not making anyone look like the bad guy, they're just trying to inform kids on the issues. They still play clips of Romney even though he doesn't give an interview...

report

I do not appreciate how Nick is trying to promote Obama. This will appeal to parents who do not pay attention in the actual debate. Also, I think Nick is being unfair to kids, making them think our president deserves a second time in office is something I will not stand for! The president has done nothing for our country except put us deeper in debt! He says he is going to do all these things, when the truth is he should have done them 4 years ago! I do not enjoy the media making Romney look like the bad guy.
