Snag GL intern Alexis' awesome hairstyle


 
When I’m styling my hair there are two main rules I live by 1. It has to be no-fuss and 2. It’s gotta be quick! Braids and fishtails are great, but more times than not I’m having to fix them halfway through the day…so not cool! Taking time to fix my hair in the middle is one of my biggest pet peeves. So when I discovered this awesome updo (thanks, Pinterest!) that only took me a minute to complete, I was sold! Plus it looks awesome all day--absolutely no fussing needed. Here’s what you’ve gotta do to create this adorable look: 

 

First you’ll need an elastic headband, I love shopping around for cute off-the-wall bands. You can find tons of options at places like Forever 21 and Target.

 

Try:
 
 
Pearlescent Rosette Headband, $4, forever21.com

 

The How-To:

1. Part your hair down the middle. If your hair is straight you can curl it a bit to give it a tousled look, but it’s definitely not necessary!

 

2. Place the headband on your head; you’ll want it to go across the top of your forehead and then down toward the nape of your neck.

 

3. Begin tucking your hair underneath the elastic. The great thing about this look is that you can tuck it as loosely or as tightly as you want to make the ’do that much more versatile!

 

4. Once all the hair is tucked under, you can add bobby pins for support or hairspray for added hold. Pull out some pieces to frame your face and voilà!

 

So cute and polished that you’ll have people asking, “How long did it take you to do that?!” Play around with this look and switch up the headbands to completely change the style. Easy and adorable: what more could you ask of a hairstyle?
