We’ve all heard that it’s the little things that count. And
we know that there are some small gestures that guys do every once in a
while that make us fall in love with them all over again: buying us flowers,
giving us their jackets when we’re cold, or even just opening our door. (We have a whole section of those sweet moments
here.) But a
relationship is a two way street, and our BFs need some love too. So, try these
little things that might brighten up his day and remind him of how sweet you are.
Thoughtful text
Yes, we know that you already text him when you want to hit
up the movies or catch up on each other’s days. But surprise him every once in
a while smile-inducing message that lets him know you’re thinking about him.
Try: “I hope your day is going well,” or “good luck on that test today.”
Treat your sweet
If you’re whipping up a batch of cookies or brownies, save
him one. Not renown for your recipes? Pick up his fave candy bar from the
vending machine before school lets out. A sweet treat brightens up everybody’s
day.
Cue the kisses
Okay, so a full make-out session before Biology might be a tad
inappro. But a peck on the cheek while watching Glee? Adorbs. He’ll see that you like hanging around him and that
will make him happy.
Just joking
A joke makes everyone smile, so never underestimate the power
of laughter with your guy. Crack a few here and there to get him chuckling and chatting.
Compliment your cutie
Guys like it when you give them a compliment, so tell him
that his new shirt looks good or that his defense rocked in the big game. It
will give him a little confidence and keep him cheerful for the rest of the
day.
Chat him up
A good convo doesn’t just make you happy; it makes him happy
too. If you ask him something he knows a lot about, he won’t stop talking and it
will give him the opportunity to impress you. Bonus: You might learn something
that you never knew about him.
