3 ways to wear a timeless trend: Polka dots

Classic polka dots are always timeless (just ask Kate Spade!), but oh-so trendy this season. You can go bold and pair them with other loud prints, or tone it down prep-style with more basic accessories. It’s up to you on how you wanna rock your dots. Here are three of our fave ways to wear ’em:

Outfit 1: Bold & beautiful
Who says you can’t mix prints? Pair a polka-dot blouse with floral printed jeans for a look that demands attention! The key to not going overboard? Mixing muted tones of grey and pale pink.

Rose Garden Skinny Jean, $40, delias.com

Polka Dot Peplum Tank, $11, charlotterusse.com

Women’s Merona Kamoni Wedge Bootie, $35, target.com

Palmdale Necklace, $24, urbanoutfitters.com

Outfit 2: Sweet spots

Sometimes polka dots make just as much of a statement when they’re a little subdued. Try a dotted dress with a boyfriend blazer for a polished look that can transition from daywear to night in under a minute!

Outfit 3: Pretty bitty dots

A little polka goes a long way. If ya just wanna spice up an otherwise boring outfit, add some polka dot accents to keep it cool and cute!

A subtle, bronzy eye goes great with newly developing tans! If you’re getting bored of black eyeliner, play around with an electric blue liner to make your eyes the center of attention.
