As
interns, we get a sneak peek into every issue of
GL,
from the clothes to the articles. What’s
the coolest part? The photo shoots, of course! This issue, we’re givin’ ya all
the behind-the-scenes deets on our
Dec/Jan cover shoot with Victoria Justice.
2:00
pm: We get to the studio and immediately start oohing and ahhing over the
dresses we are hanging up for Victoria to check out. GL intern Brittany is totally
overwhelmed: “I can’t pick my
favorite—who can resist all these sequins?”
3:15
pm: Our fashion editor, Jess, starts pulling outfits for the shoot- the looks
each have to stand out against the amazing backdrop of our set, which we’ll
head to in a few hours.
4:00
pm: Victoria arrives with her mom and her hair and makeup stylist. She’s so sweet and down-to-earth: We can see
why she’s the perfect cover girl for GL!
4:45
pm: As usual, Victoria is looking amazing in the fun, holiday-inspired dresses
for the cover. She’s a total natural in
front of the camera, so every shot looks fab. Jealous!
5:30
pm: On to the second look! Victoria has got a great sense of style—she’s
pickin’ out her own jewelry and working them into her cover looks so
confidently. This girl definitely knows
the importance of accessories.
6:30
pm: GL intern Kate can’t wait to see
Victoria rock the rest of the shoot at the Maryland State Fair. “The lights of the fair are going to make
these glitzy outfits look even more fun and over the top, it’s going to be
amazing!”
7:15
pm: We get to the fair and head out (in golf carts!) to take the photos. It isn’t long before Victoria gets noticed
and a crowd gathers, but it doesn’t phase her: She is having a blast playing
skee ball and posing with a giant stuffed pink monkey.
8:30
pm: Immediately after we wrap, Victoria greets her fans. Everyone’s impressed, especially GL intern Rachael. "Even after a long day, she was eager to sign autographs and pose for
pictures with her fans; how awesome is that?”
9:00
pm: We all pack up to head home: It’s been an amazing day, and the interns can
barely believe how lucky we’ve been. We
have the best job ever!
