present. Bake the perfect cookie-swap cookie. Watch as many holiday-themed
movies as you can squeeze in.
But others
you’ve gotta decide on early so you can be sure to cross ‘em off your must-do

Learn how to carve a
turkey. Ya don’t have to slice ‘n’ dice the whole bird, but ask Dad to show
you how wield the carving knife. Hey, girl’s gotta learn sometime!
Spot the perfect
Christmas tree. Even if you don’t celebrate Christmas, shopping for the
ideal evergreen is still a blast. Tag along with a friend’s fam and turn it
into a contest. The winner gets to put on the first ornament!
Go caroling for a
cause. Gather up your chicas, pick a charity you all care about, craft
signs and songbooks and hit the streets. Don’t forget the matching ensembles!
Send out holiday
greeting cards. Instead of the store-bought kind, why not print off pics of
you and your sibs making silly faces? An LOL surprise will keep your loved ones
chuckling into the new year.
Kiss someone under a
sprig of mistletoe. Who cares if it’s your kitten or your crush? Not us!
Whoever’s lucky enough to score a smooch from you will be counting their
blessings big time.
Catch a snowflake on
your tongue. Yes, this is still just as fun as it was when you were five.
Craft a seriously
cool gingerbread house. Start with a kit or bake off gingerbread from your
fam’s secret recipe, then go to town with the decorations.
Wake up early and
catch a holiday parade. Whether it’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the
Philadelphia Mummer’s Parade or your town’s local celebration, you’ll be
creating new memories—and traditions—with your nearest and dearest.
Be in charge of a
special family breakfast. Surprising your fam with sweet a.m.
bites—cinnamon rolls, anyone?—is a thoughtful way to usher in the season. Pick
a holiday, a winter birthday or a weekend morning.
Rock your Santa
hat—in public. All those stares you’ll be getting are just from people who
wish they were as cool as you, babe.
