Mean Girls
Doesn’t the title say enough?! The overall message that girls can get over their cliques and all get along is great, but we would have hated to live through what Cady Heron (Lindsay Lohan) had to put up with. From backstabbing buds to downright BF stealing, we’re plenty thankful we don’t go to Northshore High where Regina George (Rachel McAdams) and the Pinks prowl.
Twilight
While we worship this amazing series, we will admit that having vampires thirst after your blood while fighting over you with a pack of werewolves hardly sounds like our idea of fun. Plus, how in the heck are we supposed to choose between Edward and Jacob? We’ll leave that whole situation to Bella and gladly take a seat in the theater to watch rather than participate.
13 Going On 30
It would be so cool to glimpse into our future lives…but really, that’s something that shouldn’t be messed with. Plus, isn’t life all about surprises? In this movie, Jenna (Jennifer Gardner) ends up benefiting from going into the future. She’s able to turn her life around and find the right guy. But in real life, we think it’s much better to just live every day as it comes.
She’s The Man
This flick made the list because we just have to acknowledge how tough it would be to be roomies with the gorgeous Channing Tatum while trying to keep up the charade that you’re a guy! Not only that, but you’d also have to deal with girls having crushes on you because they think you’re a GUY. Too tiring!
Here at GL, we can respect a good movie about the life of working for a magazine…but we’re beyond glad working at GL is nothing like this movie! No matter how hard Andrea Sachs (Anne Hathaway) tries, her evil boss finds a way to make her feel terrible either about herself or her choices. Whew, thankfully we’ve got Karen and not Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep).
Just My Luck
Ashley Albright (Lindsay Lohan) may be the luckiest lady in Manhattan at the start of this flick, but boy, do things change. After she kisses not-so-lucky Jake Hardin (Chris Pine) at a party, her life is turned upside down. Eventually, the unlikely pair work things out…but it would be no fun to go from riches to rags in two seconds.

POSTED IN Twilight, movies we love, thanksgiving
I would so be in She's the Man, she gets CHANNING TATUM in the end, the world's sexiest man. I would never be in Twilight, I mean, Bella has this moody vampire stalking her and a demon kid and a werewolf friend who's in love with this demon kid but who she makes out with frequently...that's too confusing for my life

I think it would be fun to live in Twilight and 13 Going to 30 (two of my faves). Two guys fighting over me would be SO fun! If a vampire bit me I would turn into a vampire and live forever (SCORE!). If I were bitten by a werewolf I would get a better grade in P.E and I would be with Jacob! Sadly I'm not his age 13 Going to 30 would help me live a better life. I would chose the right guy to be with, but it is so obvious that the guy no hangs with will be the handsome successful guy (in movies anyways).

She's the man is based off of Twelfth Night. It's a great movie.

Wow, almost all these movies are in my top ten. I love Mean Girls, 13 Going On 30, She's The Man, The Devil Wears Prada.

I wouldn't like living in Hunger Games or Mean Girls or Twilight. If I was Bella, I'd run away. But Jacob and Edward would be stalkers and come find me....yeah I'm really glad I don't live in the world of Twilight.

Wait a minute... She's the Man sounds a lot like Twelfth Night.

I would hate to live in 1) The Hunger Games, because, I really don't want to be chosen in a fight to the death, and choosing between 2 cute guys is too much for me. 2) How to Train Your Dragon because it's sorta hard to try to train a Night Fury while failing Dragon Training, but it would be worse to live in the situation that Hiccup's in in the BOOKS, cuz he's trying to hide that he can speak Dragonese while attempting to train his spoiled Common-or-Garden dragon AND taming a wild Seadragonus Giganticus Maximus!!! LOL was that too long for you guys?

In the Mean Girls one, its the Plastics not the Pinks. <3 Alicia
by cali princess on 11/18/2012 3:53:40 AM
umm, in mean girls regina george's clique is the Plastics, not the Pinks. This is one of the best movie scenes ever, from She's the Man: Tampons fall out of Viola as Sebastian's bag, Duke asks why a guy has tampons and Viola as Sebastian says he uses them for nosebleeds because they are super absorbent and really work! Later in the movie: Viola as Sebastian walk into the dorm she shares with Duke and sees him with a tampon stinking out of his nose. Duke then says that they "really do work!" and Viola as Sebastian tells him to "be a man and rub some dirt in it!" I did an awful job describing it but the scene is SO FUNNY!

I agree with those picks, I wouldnt want to be in any of them. Well maybe to be with Channing Tatum, world's sexiest man. He is so hot. Some of my older friends talk about him in Magic Mike. Even my mom talked about him.
