The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 hits theaters today! Have you already gotten a chance to check it out? With the movie now here, what series will we have to look forward to next?

 

Well, we looked around a bit and found some awesome movies that are set to come out soon. Read on to see our list of what books-turned-flicks we predict will steal the Twilight spotlight.

    Divergent

    This movie based on the trilogy by Veronica Roth is expected to be a huge hit at the box offices, and in our hearts as well. Set to release in March 2014, you’ve got plenty of time to read the series before the premiere! And it’s even rumored to be starring a certain Secret Life of the American Teenager beauty Shailene Woodley as Tris, a rebellious girl who fights to reunite her nation of people segregated by personality.

    Beautiful Creatures

    This book is the first of Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl’s Caster Chronicles series and it’s a lot like Twilight…except flipped! Here, the story follows small-town boy Ethan, who meets new-girl Lena after a strange recurring dream. Ethan soon discovers Lena is the girl from his dreams, and that they have a deeper connection than he originally thought. Lena can perform magic, but will Ethan be able to save her from the Dark? Alden Ehrenreich and Alice Englert are set to play the two main roles in this flick, set to release in early 2013.

    Heist Society

    Ally Carter’s book tells the story of Kat Bishop, a girl in the family business of stealing. After trying to sever her ties with criminal life, Kat finds herself roped back in when her father needs her help. We’re hoping to see someone like Ashley Greene from Twilight land the movie role of Kat. This girl challenges society’s perception of female roles, and we think Ashley would be just perfect for that!

    Delirium
    The story by Lauren Oliver takes place in a future where love is considered a disease. When you turn 18, you have an operation done to remove all loving ability. But just before main character Lena has her operation, she falls for a boy who helps her escape their city. The upcoming movie version of this tale hasn’t set its sights on main characters yet, but we know exactly who we’d cast! For main girl Lena, Jennifer Lawrence because she’s sweet but also plenty fierce. And for her love interest, cutie Logan Lerman, of course.

    Pure

    After a huge nuclear disaster, the world is separated into two types of people: the Pures and the Wretches. The Pures remained safe inside the dome, while the Wretches were forever fused to whatever objects they were touching during the nuclear blast. Julianna Baggott’s book follows the quest of Partridge, a Pure, and Pressia, a Wretch with a doll for a hand, as they seek to find the murderer of Partridge’s mother. We could see it now: Zac Efron as Partridge and Dakota Fanning as Pressia.

I'm soo excited that Divergent's going to be a movie! It'l be huge with the action and romance both. although, I don't think any actress will fully please me as tris because I've always pictured her as looking just like the author. oh, well.

Divergent. I can almost guarantee that it will be HUGE. I've read all of them though, and they're all pretty good. Also, you guys kinda forgot to realize that these crazes will probably be after The Hunger Games, which is already pretty Huge.

Ah, oh my god! I LOVE Divergent! I got so excited when I saw it on the list. It's a MUST read for every teenage girl. And it's not a rumor; Shailene is going to play Tris. Veronica herself confirmed it. Me and my sister are so ridiculously pumped for the movie. I think it'll be even better than THG (the book is, at least, in my opinion.) And that's hard to beat.

OMG, Divergent and Insurgent were the most awesome books ive ever read. They would totally make the best next Twilight. Ive also read Beautiful Creatures and I liked them too. But im thinking the Divergent series would be best for the next Twilight

OMG! Divergent was amazing!!!!!! Forget about it being the next Twilight, it could be the next Hunger Games! The book is amazing about Tris struggling with dealing and getting used to her new life, leaving her family, first loves, new friends, high expectations, and fixing her messed up society that she is learning is not perfect through warnings about her dangerous and different personality.

I have Delirium, and it's really good! But I don't really think that it could really relate to Twilight in many ways, but in certain ways, I guess it could..? But I think that this would take up a really good spot like Twilight.

I've read all BUT Pure, which looks very interesting. Also...

STOP! Do not compare Divergent to Twilight. It is nothing like Twilight.
I'm sorry, but in my opinion it's so much better.
But still, they shouldn't be compared because they aren't alike.
