Check these out, too...
Zac Efron
He can sing, act and dance—a triple threat! We remember this cutie from the HSM days, but we’re super thankful he’s had a successful career with big roles in movies like The Lucky One and Hairspray.
Hayden Panettiere
Even though she plays a mean girl on the new show Nashville, Hayden is anything but. Not only is she gorgeous and talented, she’s really involved. Hayden is a huge supporter of the Save The Whales campaign and serves as inspiration for us all.
One Direction
They’re more cute than anything, but we had to include these five singers on the list! While we’re at it, we’ll thank them for expanding our horizons culturally when it comes to entertainment. British pop music? Yes, please.
Demi Lovato
Two-time cover girl Demi was an absolute no-brainer for this list. We love jamming to her music, but more importantly we really admire her for sharing her painful story of bullying and self-harm. Because of Demi, so many teens have sought help for their problems, and we’re so thankful.
Robert Pattinson
Without R Patz, we wouldn’t have such a charming male lead in Twilight, and that would be totally tragic. He’s also donated a lot to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. How sweet!
Taylor Swift
Whether we’re going through a breakup or we’re hopeful for a new crush, this GL cover girl has both our back and a beautifully-crafted tune to carry us through. It’s safe to say Tay is the soundtrack to our (love) life, and we couldn’t be more thankful.
Liam Hemsworth
His role in The Last Song made us hopeful for a guy as amazing his character Will, but we’re also thankful for Liam being such a great man for Miley Cyrus…but we’ll stop there, we don’t want to spoil the rest of the list!
Kristen Stewart
This girl showed us that you don’t have to be super outgoing and a mega people-person to be happy and successful. K-Stew works the awkward girl angle, and it really is inspiring for those of us who are not the biggest social butterflies.
Taylor Lautner
OK, we have to admit, we couldn’t bear to not represent the whole Twilight cast. We’re thankful that Taylor’s character Jacob taught us guys and girls CAN be friends…even if there’s a bit of love-interest confusion.
Miley Cyrus
Of course we included Liam Hemsworth’s better half! Miles always taught us to not fear being ourselves. She rocks funky clothes and her cool new hairstyle, and she hooked an amazing guy for a fiancé. This GL cover girl is one we’re definitely thankful for.
Justin Bieber
This 18-year-old cutie proves that haters can’t bring you down. Even with his huge fan base, GL cover boy Justin has faced plenty of scrutiny and hate, yet he will forever provide us with catchy dance tunes. And for that, we thank him!
Emma Watson
The female face of the Harry Potter series has proved that it’s cool to be smart. Not only does she play bookworm Hermione (and kicks butt as the character), but she’s also furthering her education by taking college classes. Talk about major juggling!

You know what? Before you start hating on Demi and Miley, think. Miley gave the hair she chopped off to charity. So don't hate it. She already gets enough of it as is. Demi? She ut HERSELF into rehab. Not someone else. She felt there were things she needed to get help with, so she did--herself. She is an inspiration, because even though she received so many threats, she is still with us. Good. She's only 19-20! Don't hate on her clothes or hair. She can be wo she wants. Don't be mean because of that. You should be happy for her, because of everything she went through, and she is strong. Sorry for the rant, but I still get mad when they hurt them. THEY PUT UP WITH ENOUGH AS IS! You don't need to add to it!
