I think you need to walk away from the television. Ask your parents to watch these shows in their bedroom or after you’re asleep. Even if they keep watching in the open, you don’t have to. I never watch scary shows—they spook me, too. By the way, real life is nowhere near as dangerous as TV makes it seem. You should be smart and sensible and safety-conscious, but you should not be paranoid. Still worried? Talk over your fears with your school counselor.

Just stop watching them, I think its like anything else we watch, the more you watch it the more you think about it. I think some of the stuff they show is very gross, that is why I dont watch it all the time. I would rather watch something with hot guys in it than violence.
