hits screens today, and we’re dying to see Bailee
Madison star in this hilarious flick. When Mom and Dad have to leave town,
Bailee’s character Harper and her two little brothers are left with their
laid-back, old-school grandparents in charge. And, as you can imagine, hilarity
ensues.
Although
Bailee told us she couldn’t quite relate to her “uptight teen violinist”
character at first, she’s excited for the audience to see Harper develop in the
movie. “You kind of see her soft side come out more. She just wants to make her
parents and her siblings proud,” she told us.
Want
the behind-the-scenes scoop? Bailee filled us in! She told us being on set
every day with director Andy Fickman was a blast: “We went trick-or-treating
because we were filming during Halloween!”
Oh,
and Bette Midler, who plays Harper’s grandmother, also left an impression on
this teen starlet, introducing her to her favorite classic films. “I woke up
one day and had these stacks of movies and DVDs like The Red Shoes and Mama Mia.
I’d walk up to her and she’d be like, ‘So have you watched it?’”
Looking
for some parental guidance before buying your ticket? Bailee lives by the
constant advice her mom gives. Her biggest one? To stay humble. Sure, it’s easy
to get caught up in Hollywood glam, but Bailee remains grounded. “I’ve just
been so incredibly blessed with what I’ve been able to do,” she says. What an
awesome girl!
