Hopefully
you got to tune in to the glitz and glamour of the
People’s Choice Awards on CBS last night. But if you weren’t able
to catch the 39th annual show, don’t worry! We have your recap covered.
Clearly
the fave film of the year, The Hunger Games, took center stage
throughout the evening. It won Favorite Movie and Favorite Action Movie. Of course the film’s leading lady
couldn’t escape without taking away a few trophies for herself. Jennifer
Lawrence won favorite Movie Actress, Face of Heroism and fave On-Screen Chemistry with Josh and Liam. We couldn’t agree
more.
The
newest awards also grabbed our attention. This year, PCA opened up new
categories for Favorite Fan Followings. The Movie Fan Following award went to
the Twihards of Twilight. Given all of Kristen and Rob’s publicity and the book
fanatics, this title sounds about right. But what shocked us? The TV Fan
Following award went out to SPNFamily,
fans of Supernatural. Who we think should’ve
won instead? Def Little Liars, the fans of PLL,
obvi.
New
TV shows, The New Normal and Beauty and the Beast also got some
stage time when it came to The Fave New TV Comedy and Drama awards. Guess we’ll
have to add these to our must-see shows list.
And
what we can not get over is The Wanted’s New Breakout Artist award. Don’t get us wrong, we love the guys,
but we were totally rooting for our
1D boys. At least they won awards for Favorite Album and Song, right? “What
Makes You Beautiful” is certainly an anthem to celebrate!
Which
awards were you super psyched about? And which winners totally threw you for a
loop? Blog about it, babes.
