My ballet teacher said that I am really close to being ready for pointe (squee)! I'm really excited, and she said that the very latest I would get my pointe shoes is the end of spring.
She put me in a pre-pointe/pointe class, so do you think that practicing everything from the pre-pointe class and doing other strengthening things outside of class would make me progress sooner?

Hey girl,

I think it would definitely help you prepare, but I'm not sure it would make you be able to go on pointe sooner. Your teacher is probably figuring you'll practice, so doing those exercises and practicing outside of class will definitely prepare you and your teacher will let you go on pointe when you're ready!

MOD
It's a tad embarrassing, but periods are supposed to be around 4 to 7 days long (at least thats what I hear a lot)? I've had mine for about 4 years now and it was normal. Well, for the past few months (since around September), they only last one day, if even that long. But my symptoms (fatigue, cramps, and bloating) last around 2, maybe 3 days (and they're really bad). I feel like it might have something to do with my diet. I usually eat around 5 to 7 servings of fruits and veggies, peanuts, granola, greek yogurt, whole wheat bread, water, and an occasional coffee every day. I don't eat meat very often because it makes me gain weight like crazy (and I never really crave it anyways). I also work out around 3 to 4 times a week, I'm a very healthy person. I just think it's weird that my period is very short and it has only started this since I've started being this healthy. Any advice or anything? Thanks!

Hey RockOn64, yeah that is a little weird. I would call your doctor and see what's up. I don't really know what the problem could be, though I'm sure it's nothing serious. Hope this helps! Xoxo
