For
the fashion fans of
Gossip Girl,
The
Carrie Diaries has come just in time to fill the hit series’ void. For
starts, the new CW show (premiering
Monday, Jan. 14, at
8
p.m. ET/PT) is all about
clothes! Set in 1980s Manhattan, AnnaSophia Robb plays a young
Carrie Bradshaw, who dresses for success while juggling what comes along with
being a senior in high school.
In
the series, you’ll also get to know Stefania
Owen, who plays Carrie’s li’l, rebellious sister, Dorrit. We caught up with
the 15-year-old starlet and had her give us the scoop on the show…
GL: Tell us about Dorrit. What’s her style
like?
Stefania: She wears dark
eye makeup and really gothic clothing, but in a kind of ‘80s sort of style. I just love going to set and knowing
that I’m going to become Dorrit.
Are you and Dorrit similar or different?
I
love the whole Dr. Martens and ripped shirt look, but I’m different because I
love school and reading and just being with my family. I’m kind of dorky.
How is filming with AnnaSophia?
We’ve
known each other for years, but it seems like we’ve gotten so much closer since
the show. We’re like sisters now. Our first scene we filmed was a fight scene. We
had to pull each other’s hair, and I had to bite her arm, so it really did make
it a lot easier knowing her and knowing that it was OK to really get into it.
What’s one of the funniest things that’s happened on set so far?
AnnaSophia
and I did a water fight scene…and continued spraying each other with water when
we weren’t filming. It was really fun.
Be
sure to catch Stefania and the rest of the Carrie
Diaries gang when the series premieres on The CW this Monday!
