Don’t
wanna dish out the usual paper valentines, and too short on cash to spend a
fortune? We’re right with ya. DIY gifts are thoughtful, creative and
one-of-a-kind. Here are three gifts you can make for all the besties, guys and
fam in your life without breaking the bank.
For your main girls: Fortune cookie valentines
Your
gals will love receiving these cute “cookies” with a sweet note tucked inside!

What you’ll need:
Pink
and red felt
Thin
wire
Ribbon
Scissors
Glue
What you’ll do:
Cut
out felt circles to be 4 ½ inches in diameter. Line the thin wire down the
middle, cover with pretty pink ribbon and glue in place. Let the glue dry for a
bit, then fold the circle in half so the ribbon is on the inside. Bend corners
closer together to form a fortune cookie (The wire makes it bendable!) Then write
a sweet message and slip the paper fortune through. Voila, you’ve got
ah-dorable Valentine’s Day fortunes for all your BFFs!
For the BGFs: Bow ties we heart
You’ll
have your guys looking dapper in these adorable homemade gifts.

What you’ll need:
A
10” square piece of V-Day fabric
Bowtie
clip
Needle
and thread
Scissors
What you’ll do:
Cut
a 9x4.5” piece of fabric. Fold the long edges of the fabric toward the center
of the back and then fold the outer open ends to the middle too (just like
wrapping a present). Pinch the center together and wrap it in a much thinner
piece of fabric to hold it all together. Stitch a bowtie clip on the backside
for easy application, and you’re good as gold. Your fashionable boys will have
one-of-a-kind ties pronto.
For the Fam: Rose wreath
Christmas
door décor is so two months ago. Show the fam
some love with a romantic homemade wreath.

What you’ll need:
Foam
circle wreath from the floral section of your craft store
Craft
or fabric paint in pink or red
Red
or pink felt
Scissors
Hot
glue or straight pins
What you’ll do:
Paint
the foam circle pink or red and then hot glue or pin felt roses all over the
surface. How to make the cute roses? Just cut out squares of felt in V-Day
colors. Cut into the squares to form a spiral, then wrap the felt around itself
starting from the center. Felt sticks to itself, so ya don’t even need to glue
each rose together! Easy enough and def something the whole fam will heart ya
for.
