You may be. Most of the time, this kind of reaction is caused by a sensitivity to chemicals creating the scent in your stick, says Dr. Vivan W. Bucay, a dermatologist and assistant clinical professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. And those labeled unscented may still feature some fragrances that’ll bother sensitive skin. So avoid that annoying itch with a hypoallergenic and fragrance-free product, like Tom’s of Maine Fragrance-Free Deodorant Stick or Almay Clear Gel Fragrance Free.

POSTED IN weird body Q, skin problems, sensitive skin, advice, allergies
I'm allergic to fragrances and very sensitive to scents (as in too strong of a scent and it makes me almost puke), so anything that sits on my skin has to be unscented, like lotion and deodorant. I can only use certain body washes, and I've only found one perfume that doesn't make me nauseous or itchy. I hate places like Bath and Body because it makes me miserable.

A person should change their shampoo every six months because the hair will get used to it and does not get clean.
