13 songs to shake the winter blahs

This week at GL, the weather has only been getting colder, and we’re all settling into winter for the long run! We can’t help but daydream about the lazy days of summer, though.

Don’t get us wrong, getting to try out funky layering techniques and watching the flurries fall are some of our favorite activities—and they’re pretty much exclusive to winter. Yet there’s something about the magic of waking up late and spending all day in the sun that belongs only in summer.

In ode to all things warm and beach-y, we’ve compiled a playlist that is sure to have you buzzin’ for the sunny months. Fighting a seasonal slump? Read on to bust those winter blahs with songs from summers long gone, summer 2012 and simple tunes that make us think of sizzlin’ days.

“Summer Love” by Justin Timberlake

“California Girls” by Katy Perry

“Surfin’ USA” by the Beach Boys

“Dollhouse” by Priscilla Renae

“Never Close Our Eyes” by Adam Lambert

“Chasing the Sun” by The Wanted

“Where Have You Been” by Rihanna

“Summer Nights” by John Travolta and Oliva Newton John

“Kiss You” by One Direction
