4 ways to style a trendy topknot for #BunDayMonday


 
Let’s go back: The bun has always been an underrated hairstyle, until right now. We remember piling our hair up on those bad hair days, or of uptight ballerina concoctions (so many bobby pins!) or those moments when we just want to tie on a scrunchy and have a casual hair day. Today, the bun is trendier than ever, being the talk of the town and spotted on everyone from fashion editors to street style stars to even the red carpet. Get ready to rock your own topknot:

    The pretty twist
    If you like the sweet and pretty updo look, Mandy Moore’s style is definitely for you. Cute it up ballerina-style with a medium height tight bun. Soft makeup seals the deal.
     
    Tip: To hold everything in place, use a couple bobbies in an X formation. Lightly loosen a few wisps around the face for an easy undone look.

Not to be dumb, but how do you make a bun!!! Everytime I do it it looks horrible!

 

Hey girlie, you are not dumb! Buns can be tricky. I like to put my hair in a ponytail first and then twist it around the ponytail into a bun. It sometimes takes a lot of extra hair ties and bobby pins to get the bun to look the way I want. There are a ton of tutorials and videos out there if you search for them.
