Dear T
I think you saw me in the back of the classroom,
but I didn't think you'd say hi.
I think you heard me in the back of the choir,
but I didn't think you'd be shy.
I think you bumped me on the way to the lunch court,
but I didn't think you'd walk by.
It's okay if you didn't, but I just want you to know:
This is our last year, and I don't want it to go.
Sometimes we deny ourselves,
and sometimes we're unsure.
But next time when we have contact,
please don't let me go running out the door.
I've liked you from afar, as if that wasn't clear.
Yes, I've liked you from very far, for a little over a year.
We used to talk every day,
and hang out after school, without any delay.
I don't know what happened,
if we drifted, if we have blackened.
Maybe we've had something, and maybe now it's too late,
but hey, it's Valentine's day... so maybe just one date?
