Easy DIY: How to make your own colored mascara


 
When the weather gets warmer, so should your makeup. See ya, black and brown mascara. Bright lashes are trending fast! We’re showing you how to make your own colored mascara in two easy steps:
  
First, swipe on a coat of clear mascara.
 

Try: Maybelline Great Lash Mascara in Clear, $5, target.com

 

Before the coat dries, take a clean mascara wand and brush it in eye shadow (any color—the brighter, the better!). Then, swipe it on your lashes. The clear coat helps keep the shadow on so the color lasts longer.

MOD MOD MOD, I need help! I have very long eylashes and have never felt the need for mascara. But all of the sudden this year, all the girls have started wearing it so now I dont have the longest lashes in my class. So I started wearing it. I've experimented with a few kinds and methods of applying but none of them work for me. Since my lashes are so long, they get clumpy easily and whenever there is a little clump, it stands out clearly. So I need a mascara that's right for my eyelashes. And btw if this helps, my eyelashes almost touch my eyebrows naturally without mascara so they're pretty long I guess




Hey girl, try using Clinique, they're a great company and make a lot of non-clumping formulas. Otherwise, I would say go to a department store where they have a few examples of different mascaras and just try each one to see the best results.
