Calling all fashionistas: Design Duck Tape couture...and win cash for college!

Are you a high school honey headed to prom this year? Then check out this contest! The Duck brand Stuck at Prom Scholarship Contest will be awarding over $40,000 in cash scholarships to students for showing off their fab sense of style and designing a custom dress for prom.

What’s Stuck at Prom?
The Stuck at Prom Scholarship Contest challenges students to create and accessorize their prom outfits with Duck Tape, then wear them to prom for a chance to win scholarship cash prizes. Plus, this year introduces the first-ever singles category...so you stag-and-stylish sweeties can now enter solo. CLICK HERE to check out the official website for Stuck at Prom.

These glam winning gowns in 2012 were created by creative high school girls just like you. Read on to find out how you can design a dress to win.

What could I win?
The memories you’ll make while creating your custom Stuck at Prom dress—and then rocking it at prom—are priceless. But college, however, is not. Luckily, Duck Tape is awarding 10 winning couples with cash scholarships for college.

  • First place: $5,000 each
  • Second place: $3,000 each
  • Third place: $2,000 each

The seven remaining "runners up" couples will each receive $500. The school that hosted a winning couples' prom will also receive the same prize amount for that winner. (Example: The school of the first place winner will receive $5,000, the school of the second place winner will receive $3,000, and so on.)

When’s the deadline?
Check out this calendar for all the important dates you need to know...

  • Entry begins: March 11, 2013
  • Entry ends: June 10, 2013
  • Top 10 announced: June 13, 2013
  • Voting begins: June 13, 2013
  • Voting ends: July 8, 2013
  • Winners announced: July 11, 2013

How are winners chosen?
Once all submissions are in and the entry period ends, a panel of judges from Duck brand will choose the top ten finalists…then the fun starts, and public voting opens up. During the voting period, users can vote at stuckatprom.com or facebook.com/ducktape. The entries with the highest votes will win one of 10 cash scholarship prizes…so spread the word to  your friends and fam!
