"Now What?" - An original poem

Hello, lovelies! Take a break from Homework Mountain to check out this original poem written by #GLgirl Denaya G. Don't forget to tell us what ya think in the comments!

Now What?

What happens to the skipping stone…

After it’s been thrown?

One skip… two skip… three

It sinks to the bottom never to be retrieved.

What about the little things that bring you joy?

A little laughter, a smile,

That day in connections class.

Some of those memories they never last.

What about that family member?

You know the one you haven’t talked to since last December.

That family photo that was done...

What do you do now that their gone?

What about the words of hate?

The ones that help decide someone else’s fate.

Once they’ve been said…

They hang in that persons head.

You can’t take them back,

I know you know that.
