Who knew just being you could do a body good? It turns out that the stuff ya do day in and day out burns way more calories that you ever thought possible. A no-sweat sweat sesh? Yep, that’s totally our speed!

 

Do this: Yuk it up with your best babes.

Why? Because 15 minutes of laughing burns around 40 calories. And it’s great for your abs.

 

Do this: Get in some quality practice time on your instrument of choice. Hello, first seat!

Why? Because an hour of practice can burn anywhere from 118 calories (cello) to over 230 (drums).

 

Do this: Bike to your friends’ house, the pharmacy, your job, school…

Why? Because 30 minutes of biking at a decent pace burns 237 calories. Yes!

 

Do this: Take the kids outside to play the next time you babysit.

Why? Because depending on the activity you pick, you could be laughing your way to burning up to 600 calories an hour. And earning money for it!

 

Do this: Grab the leash and take Fido for a ramble.

Why? Because walking the dog can burn 236 calories an hour. Amp it up by adding a rousing game of fetch.

Do this: Get a good night’s sleep
