  • 1VampireAcademy.jpg
    Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters
    Release Date: February 14
Why We’re Excited: The film is based on Richelle Mead’s best-selling book series, which tells the legend of Rose Hathaway, a half-human, half-vampire teenager. She attends a hidden boarding school where she trains for her role as guardian of mortal vampires. The movie will focus on her and her best friend, Royal Vampire Princess Lissa. Seriously, who doesn’t love Vampire Princesses?!
  • 2MuppetsMostWanted.jpg

    Muppets Most Wanted
    Release Date: March 21
Why We’re Excited: Kermit becomes a wanted frog when his doppelganger turns out to be a criminal on the run. Let’s just say things get hilariously out of hand and the whole gang ends up in an international crime caper. Fingers crossed that the fabulous Miss Piggy stays out of jail.

  • 3Divergent.jpg
    Divergent
    Release Date: March 21
Why We’re Excited: We’ve all felt like we don’t fit in, but 16-year-old Tris Prior really doesn’t. In this futuristic world, everyone is divided up into groups based on their personality. Tris learns she is a divergent, meaning she does not fit in any one particular group. Tris soon finds out that being a divergent is very dangerous. Will she survive?
  • 4Rio2.jpg
    Rio 2
    Release Date: April 11
Why We’re Excited: After falling in love with Jewel and Blu in Rio, we can’t wait to see what they’re up to in this latest sequel. Rio 2 revolves around the lovebirds as they leave their charmed city and embark on a wild journey to the Amazon.
  • 5LegendsofOz.jpg
    Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return
    Release Date: May 9
Why We’re Excited: After being whisked backed to Oz, Dorothy can’t find the Lion, the Tin Man or the Scarecrow. Instead, she meets new and exciting characters like a man made out of marshmallows and a tiny China doll princess. Who wouldn’t be excited to see that?
  • 6PartyCentral.jpg

    Party Central
    Release Date: May 30
Why We’re Excited: Mike and Sulley are the most lovable monsters out there and we can’t wait to see what they’re getting into now. In this sequel to Monsters University, the monsters take on a new role: party planners.

  • 7HowtoTrainYourDragon2.jpg

How to Train Your Dragon 2
    Release Date: June 13
Why We’re Excited: How to Train Your Dragon was hands down one of the best animated films of 2010, so we have high hopes for the sequel. Hiccup and Toothless are back, a little more grown-up, and ready to win over our hearts yet again.

  • 8DolphinTale.jpg

    Dolphin Tale 2
    Release Date: September 19
Why We’re Excited: We may have bawled our eyes out during the first Dolphin Tale, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t looking forward to the second one! This one tells the story of a lovable baby dolphin named Hope, who was rescued by the Clearwater Marine Aquarium in 2010. We just got back from visiting the set and all we can say is this movie’s gonna be just as good as the first.

  • 9AlexanderTerribleVeryBadDay.jpg
Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day
    Release Date: October 10
Why We’re Excited: We loved the book as kids and are super excited to see it brought to life with the help of A-listers like Steve Carell and Jennifer Garner. From starting the day with gum in his hair to not getting dessert, can things get any worse for poor Alexander?
  • 10BigHero6.jpg
    Big Hero 6
    Release Date: November 7
Why We’re Excited: We’ve all dreamed of fighting crime and saving our city, but where do we start? This animated comedy revolves around robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada and his robot Baymax as they join a team of first-time crime fighters to save their home.
  • 11Mockingjay.jpg
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1
    Release Date: November 21
Why We’re Excited: The Hunger Games has become one of the most popular franchises in recent years, and for good reason: The main character is a kick-butt girl who we all secretly want as our BFF. But the beloved Katniss is in danger in this latest installment. After surviving two Hunger Games, the tough-as-nails chica is not safe—nor are her friends or family.
  • 12Paddington.jpg
    Paddington
    Release Date: December 12
Why We’re Excited: Everyone’s favorite Peruvian teddy bear is back. He became a household name thanks to the children’s books and animated series, and now Paddington bear is being brought to life for the first time on the big screen. The film will chronicle his adventures after being adopted by a family in London. So cute!
  • 13Annie.jpg
    Annie
    Release Date: December 19
Why We’re Excited: If you’ve seen the Broadway musical or any adaptation, you know how easy it is to love little orphan Annie. However, we’re excited to see her signature orange curls traded in for the locks of the talented Quvenzhané Wallis. Cameron Diaz is playing Miss Hannigan, so you know it’s gonna be good!

  • 14IntotheWoods.jpg
    Into the Woods
    Release Date: December 25
Why We’re Excited: It’s all of our favorite fairytales intertwined. The film explores what happens after “happily ever after,” as a Baker and his wife take a journey through a mystical forest to confront a witch (Meryl Streep) who has put a spell on them. The couple runs into some familiar faces, including Rapunzel, Little Red Riding Hood and Cinderella, played by Anna Kendrick.
