GL's Dear Carol pens new page-turner Ava and Pip--and you're gonna love it!

--

Love all the awesome advice Dear Carol dishes in GL? Then you’re gonna fall head over heels for the new book Ava and Pip by our very own advice columnist Carol Weston. The book centers on the 10-year-old witty and literature-loving Ava Wren and her big sister Pip.

In the beginning of the novel, Ava asks her parents why they named her “Ava.” Their answer is simple: “We like palindromes.” When her dad explains that a palindrome is a word that is spelled the same way forward as it is backwards (think: Mom, noon or pop), Ava begins to search for palindromes everywhere she goes.

But that’s not the only thing she’s out to find. Since her ’rents spend so much time fussing over Pip’s shyness, they tend to forget about Ava. Ava, understandably, wants to change that. She doesn’t get why Pip is so scared of making friends, but she devises a plan to help her big sis out. Will Ava be able to break Pip out of her shell? Or is Pip destined to be a wallflower forever?

With each chapter (all different entries from Ava’s diary), we get a look into the funny new palindromes Ava discovers, as well as her journey to understanding herself and her sis a little better.

Wanna get to know these sibs a little better, too? Be sure to grab a copy of Ava and Pip when it hits shelves this Tuesday, March 4, then come back here and let us know your thoughts.
