Protein-packed blueberry vanilla smoothie


Looking for the perfect pre-anything snack? Now that fresh blueberries are packing produce shelves, we’re digging this delicious blueberry smoothie. You can make it just as easily with frozen berries (or sub in your favorites—strawberries are super tasty, too!). With the protein and natural sugar, it’s a great way to start your mornings or to gulp before a workout.

 

Ingredients:

1 container vanilla yogurt (opt for Greek for more protein)

2 handfuls fresh or frozen blueberries

1 small banana

1 handful ice cubes

Honey or sugar to sweeten, if necessary

 

Directions:

Put all ingredients (except for sweetener) into a blender in order. This will help it blend up smoothly, if your blender’s motor isn’t super strong. Taste and sweeten if necessary, then pour into a cup or to-go container and sip away. Yum!
