The biggest OMG celeb moments of the week

It’s the end to another week, which means that our fave celebs have done some new things in the past seven days. This week there were new music video releases, new movie deals…and new painting gigs? Read on for the scoop.

Good BYE

Our new musical crushes, Before You Exit, wowed us once more with the release of their “Dangerous” music video this week. We love that we get to see these cuties’ “bad boy” side and, not to mention, the song is super catchy.

Remember to check out our feature on Before You Exit in Girls’ Life’s April/May 2014 issue! Check out their “Dangerous” music video below…

No More Percy!

We’ve been wondering if Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Titan’s Curse (the third book in the series) would be making its way to the big screen. Unfortunately, Percy himself (Logan Lerman) shot down such hopes when he opened up this week about the film’s fate, saying, “It’s not happening. It’s been a great experience for me. It’s opened up a lot of doors for me, but I don’t think it’s happening.” Sigh. Are you bummed we might not be seeing the Percy Jackson gang together again?

Troian Speaks Up

Here at GL, we are all about girl power and that’s why Troian Bellisario (Spencer on PLL) is on our must list of the week. Troian took to Instagram this week with a pic of her hand covering her face to sound off about what beauty means to her. This fierce femme went on to say that, “What’s beautiful is inside you. It’s your creativity. It’s your intelligence. Your empathy and your kindness to your fellow man.” Yes, it’s fun to put on makeup and do our hair, but Troian helped remind us that real beauty comes from within. Keep on rocking, girl.

Paper Towns Turns Real

John Green is getting mega-huge with the highly-anticipated The Fault in Our Stars movie that was adapted from his novel. But before TFiOS even hits theatres, there are reports that another John Green novel will become a reality on the big screen—and with a familiar face. It was announced this week that Green’s Paper Towns will be turned into a movie and TFiOS’ Nat Wolff is tapped to star in it as the lead. What do you think of the casting news?

Triple Threat

OK, we all know that Taylor Swift is an amazing songwriter and singer. But this week we learned that she is also a superb…painter? Yes, you read that right. Swifty displayed her newfound talent on Instagram earlier this week, posting a pic of her new watercolor creation and captioned it, “So far this week, all I want to do is paint and all I want to paint are watercolor flowers.” These paintings are far better than our attempts and we are curious as to what other talents Taylor might be hiding from us.
