How to get a dazzlingly white smile

Since one of the first things people notice about you is your smile, we know you want the lowdown on how to make yours picture-perfect. From totally simple and natural ideas to our fave whitening products that you can find at the grocery store, we know just what to do to get you enjoying a brighter smile in no time!

Ditch the coffee

The first step to getting a whiter smile is to watch what you drink. Beverages like coffee, tea and dark sodas will stain your teeth, so it’s best to avoid them all together. If you can’t kick your caffeine habit, stick to one drink a day and brush your teeth after you’re finished with it. Which reminds us…

Brush your teeth twice a day

It’s mega important to brush your teeth twice a day. Not only is it necessary for combating cavities and bad breath, it also will keep your teeth from turning yellow. Try a whitening toothpaste: our fave is Crest 3D White Glamorous White Toothpaste. It’ll only take a week to make your smile look brighter.

Brush with warm water

The simplest way to get whiter teeth is to brush with warm water instead of cold. Have you ever noticed that when you empty the dishwasher, the dishes are usually warm? Your dishwasher cleans them with warm water get help get them squeaky clean, and the same idea applies for your teeth. Making the simple switch to warm water will get the gunk off your teeth and have them looking whiter in no time.

Baking soda scrub

One natural way to whiten you teeth is a trick major toothpaste companies already advertise on their products: baking soda. All you have to do is get a little bit of baking soda and mix it in with your normal toothpaste. Brush your teeth normally once, then take a cotton swab and rub the baking soda and toothpaste mixture onto your teeth. Let it sit for about five minutes, then brush it off. Follow up with another round of brushing with your normal toothpaste. After a few days of this, your teeth are guaranteed to look brighter.

Whiten your teeth with whitening strips

Follow up your normal teeth-brushing routine with whitening strips for a guaranteed whiter smile. Follow the directions that come with the whitening strips and people will seriously start to notice. Be wary though, these strips are not for girls who have braces or super sensitive teeth.
