My guy wants me to send him a picture of me in a bikini, but I don't think I feel comfortable with that. What should I do?
It’s pretty common to get flirty over text or Facebook chat when you’re getting to know a new guy. But if he starts asking for pictures of you bearing some skin, warning flags should go up. Will he save a pic of you onto his phone? Will he show his friends? Even if he says he won’t, you can never be sure.
There are a lot
of different ways to go about responding to his request. You can always make a
joke out of it and quickly change the subject, but oftentimes it’s better to
cut to the chase and to say what you’re really thinking. It is never wrong to
say “You know, I really don’t feel comfortable doing that, so please don’t ask
that any guy you are interested in respects you and your body. If he continues
asking, or gives you a hard time about saying no, it might be a good idea to
think about what you really want from the relationship. Ask yourself: how well
is this guy willing to treat me? Any good guy will appreciate your decision to
say no, and if he doesn’t it’s perfectly OK to say buh-bye!
