girls love Laura Marano, so it was a given that we had to let you in on the
awesome new initiative that the Austin
& Ally star is currently a part of.
We know you
In conjunction with Disney’s TRYit initiative, and to help
encourage kids to eat more fruits and veggies, Laura is teaming up with the
leader in frozen vegetables, Birds Eye, for its “Step Up To The Plate” campaign.
Not only is Laura stoked on veggies, but she also just launched the “Veggin’ In LA With Laura Marano” sweepstakes
presented by Birds Eye, which is giving one lucky fan the opportunity to hang
with the star. Woohoo!
Speaking of veggies, we got Laura to open up about why she
hearts the healthy stuff. Here’s what she had to say:
“The truth is, vegetables are a necessary part of our daily diet. When
I started eating more vegetables a few years ago, I found myself having way
more energy than before. Not only do we need to have more
vegetables, but with Birds Eye’s new “Step Up To The Plate” series (and their
cool new recipes), we are going to find ourselves wanting to
have more vegetables.”
Wanna meet Laura? Now’s your chance. Head over to Disney.com/veggies and input a UPC from any Birds Eye product to enter. No UPC? No prob. You can also enter by sending the keyword “VEGGIES” via text to 347639 (Disney). Contest ends September 24 at 11:59 p.m. PT so hurry up!
Good luck, and may the odds be ever in your favor. In the meantime,
check out all of the tasty (and healthy!) recipes we have a hunch Laura has
been testing out in her own kitchen at Disney.com/TRYit.
Will you be stepping up your veggie game and entering for a chance to
meet Laura Marano? Let us know in the comments below.
