Rekindle your camp crush in a pinch
Last
summer, I met this guy at camp. We hung out the whole session and had
a great time. We’ve e-mailed a few times, and he told me he’ll be
back at camp this year. I want to date him again. Should I e-mail him
and tell him, or wait and see what happens?
Dave:
Sounds like a win-win situation. Things are progressing just fine. If
you two continue to get along, then there’s no reason you shouldn’t
be together again this year at camp. I don’t know why you’d need
to discuss anything at this point, especially if you haven’t
noticed any red flags about him seeing someone else. Guys like having
a good time hanging out with a girl, but they don’t necessarily
like to plan it out. It’s dating, not military operations.
Bill: I
figure it never hurts to confirm your reservation. Got a flight in
the morning? Give the airline a call just to make sure they haven’t
changed your destination to Des Moines. Probably not necessary, but
it never hurts. So I’d drop your pal an e-mail, just to make sure
your expectations are in line with his. If he e-mails back that he
thinks you and his girlfriend will get along great, you’ll know
ahead of time to keep your options open.
