How to stop stressing and actually enjoy your summer vacation


Have you ever been sooo excited for vacation, but once you get there you feel like you can’t even enjoy it? You’re probably putting too much stress on yourself to make that vacay perfect. Trust us, it’s not going to be perfect. Let go of the small things, and kick back and relax. Here are some tips on how to stop stressin’ and totally relax during your time away.  

Don’t worry if you forgot something

You’re going to another place, not another planet. If you forgot something, you can always go grab it from the store when you get to your vacay destination. No biggie, it happens all the time!

Focus on Y-O-U

The key point of vacation is relaxation. As long as you’re having a good time, it doesn’t matter how everyone else is feelin’. It’s not your job to make sure the rest of your fam is having fun – that’s only gonna give you added stress.

Don’t overwhelm yourself with activities

Chances are, you’re gonna be on vacay for at least a few days. Don’t try and pack all the fun things into one day. And don’t worry if you can’t do everything. If you don’t have down time to relax in between all your activities your vacation will be a bust.

Disconnect from social media

We know it’s hard, but try putting your phone and computer away. Vacation is giving you a chance to get away from all the drama, so don’t even bother looking at it. Overwhelming yourself with commotion that’s not near you is only going to make your mind super stressed.

Pack light

Try your hardest not to over pack. Not only will choosing an outfit be harder when you pack your entire closet, but you’ll have to worry about keeping track of everything. The less you bring, the easier it is to make sure nothings gets lost or left at the hotel. Trust us, we know that when ya lose a shirt you love, you’re bound to be stressed.
