BEAUTY 911: Eye-Razing Trauma

Omg, I use an electric razor to get rid of hair between my eyebrows, but lately it's been causing zits between my brows and my hair seems to grow back quicker!!! HELP!

-Chloe

Hey, girl!  I think it's time to ditch the razor. Sure it's a quick-fix for that unwanted hair between the brows, but it's not worth all the irritation...literally. The problem with razors is that they don't snag the hair at the root, but instead above the surface. Plus, it can be rough for your skin. Here are our two fave ways for shapin' up our brows...

TWEEZING:
Plucking your brows might prove to be FAR more effective than shaving. First of all, it allows to be much more precise than with a razor. Because you can attack those lone, stray hairs one at a time, you're protecting your brows from a possible botch. Tweezing is also cost efficient and convenient, plus you can pluck anytime. Look for a pair of tweezers that slant, so you can really grip the unwanted hair.

These ones are super-cute:

WAXING:
Quick and painless. Okay, maybe not painless. Waxing is kinda like ripping off a Band-Aid, rather than tryin’ to pull it off slowly. The great thing about waxing is that it elongates the time that you're hair-free. Hair grows back much slower this way than tweezing and especially shaving. The rough part? Getting the hot wax in the right spot may be kinda tricky. Go to a pro the first time, or have your mom (or sis) help ya out. Don’t worry, most kits include a lotion or oil for makin’ the pain go away a li’l quicker.
