Reflection

By Emily L.

I look in the mirror and what do I see?
The person I am, The person I want to be?
My normal brown eyes and dark brown hair,
What will he ever think of me?

The Reflection in the mirror stares back,
Green eyeshadow and brown eyeliner.
Am i fat? Could i be thinner?
Is there something I lack?

During the day theres a mirror in school,
Girls checking it to make sure they look cool.
I catch a glimpse, Hair a little messy, Make-up dim.
I fix it all so I don't look bad in front of him.

On my way home I see a reflection in a puddle,
Her smile cheerful and eyes that twinkle .
I get a closer look and see thats me,
Just the way i want to be.
