This babe needs a confidence boost

My mom says I'm beautiful but I don't believe her. Every morning when I wake up I look in the mirror all I see is an ugly girl. I even got my hair done and I still think I'm ugly. Please help me find ways to be confident about myself!

Oh, girl. I wish I owned a magic mirror that could tell you the honest truth about everything. Unfortunately, it's waaaay too easy - especially at this time in your life when you're going through so many changes - to feel like the ugly duckling, when you really are the beautiful swan!

Between girl stuff, guy stuff, school stuff, and all that extra stuff, self-esteem just seems to slip away, doesn't it? The truth is that while you're going through puberty you might get taller, wider, slimmer, your hair might get a few shades darker or lighter, and even your face can change. It can be super hard to even recognize yourself, let alone find yourself beautiful. How give yourself an insta-confidence boost? Take this simple exercise below to get on track with loving your gorgeous self.

Sure, you could pick on everything that's wrong with you, but focus on whats amazing! Sit in front of a mirror with a notepad and pencil and make notes about what you love - of your movie star cheekbones, sparkling eyes, adorable dimples, or naturally blushed skin. After you've fallen in love with your own charm, take a look back at the things you don't love so much and find some fixes. Tweezing can tame wild eyebrows, eyeshadow can spark up a li'l extra color in those peepers and experimenting 'til you find a style that works with you can put your hair where it needs to be. Remember that you will never glow as much as when you love yourself. All the hairstyles and lipgloss in the world are nothing compared to a good sense of knowing who you are and being comfortable in your own skin.
