Tampon Topic

I’ve just started my period and have run out of tampons, but I am really nervous to ask my mom to go get me some. If you have any advice, please help.

Periods can be a strange topic to bring up to mom for the first time. But don't worry! You have nothing to be nervous about. Remember, Mom is a girl, too and she has a lot more experience than you, so sparking the conversation now will probably make it a whole lot easier to ask her other girly questions in the future.

Mom will be really impressed by your maturity if you ask her privately and politely. Pull her aside and quietly say, "Mom, I've run out of tampons. Would you mind running to the store to pick up some when you get a chance?" If she doesn't know yet that you have your period, she might ask you a few questions, like when you got it and stuff. It might feel awkward this first time but it'll be short-lived.

The best thing about moms? They’re always there for you and are probably the best people to go to for help with problems just like this. There's no need to feel embarrassed around her. You can trust her and she only wants the best for you! What more could you ask for?!
