Body Bumps

I have tiny bumps on my upper arms, legs and on my butt. What are they and how do I get rid of them?

They’re not pimples. Although, their raised, red appearance makes them dead ringers. “Those bumps are keratosis pilaris,” says Dr. Susan Boiko, a dermatologist. “They’re little bumps of dead skin that don’t shed. They build up and cause horny or scaly bumps.”
She recommends a moisturizer with at least 2 percent of  lactic acid. “Eucerin Plus and Lac-Hydrin are good,” she says, “and are available without a prescription. Use after bathing so skin can more readily absorb the lotion.” Also, have a soft touch. Harsh treatments like loofahs and scrubs can irritate skin and cause more dryness. And no picking.
