The Hills Recap: Love is Blind

The crew may be back from Hawaii, but they brought lots of baggage back with them. There were so many arguments packed into this episode, where do we begin?

Still on a high from her Hawaii hookup with Brody, Audrina goes shopping with Lauren to do what they do best—gossip! LC explains to Audrina that Brody is in it with his chica Jayde for the long haul and she should just drop him now. Audrina is not hearin’ it, though. Jayde might not be an angel, but come on, Audrina—you’re totally blinded by love…

Later that week, a still hopeful Audrina decides to show up at Frankie’s house party. Jayde is less than thrilled that Brody’s beach bud has decided to crash and her and her BFF’s go over to confront Aud. No offense, Audrina, but we’d probably be mad if you snuck a nap with our boyfriends, too!

Back at camp Spiedi, Heidi is upset about a text message she found on Spencer’s phone from everyone’s favorite, Stacie. Why is this chica still calling Spencer?! Heidi is so mad she decides to show up at the location that Stacie texted to Spence.

At a night out with her buds, Heidi is deciding as usual what to do about her crazy boyfriend, when in walks Stacie with her two tall brunette buds—anyone else notice the blondes vs. brunettes? Harsh!

Stacie boldly waves and then walks over to Heidi, who is totally shocked! After a little bit of yelling over Spencer, Stacie lays down the bottom line: There will always be another Stacie. She’s right, Heidi, Spencer will always find another girl someplace if he wants to cause trouble. Point one for Stacie.

What next? Spiedi heads into couples therapy with a doctor who looks totally overwhelmed by their craziness. Spencer yells at Heidi for looking through his stuff, and Heidi yells about Spencer meeting up with girls. When the doc can finally get a word in edgewise, she sums it up—they are on totally different pages.

On another Hollywood night, Audrina is getting ready to head to a hot new spot where she’s sure to find Brody and Jayde. She tells the gals that she’s pretty sure if something were to happen, Brody will stick up for her. After all, Jayde doesn’t have the cleanest rep. Fighting with Jayde? Hmmm…I don’t know, Audrina, I think you’re asking for trouble!

As soon as our girl Aud’ arrives, Jayde is already screaming at her to leave. Her BFFs surround Audrina and mass hysteria begins. Brody is totally stuck in the middle at this point and tries to make his girlfriend calm enough to talk it out.

Talk, they don’t. And after some name calling, Brody finally mans-up and walks over to Audrina. He explains to her that Jayde is his girlfriend and he doesn’t know what else to say. A heartbroken Audrina does not get the response she hoped for, and leaves. Oh man, we so knew this was gonna happen.

Back at the Spiedi cave, Spencer visits the doc on his own for some one-on-one. Nice job, Spencer. He explains that it might be a good idea for him to stop going out just so he doesn’t argue with Heidi. The doc asks him if he can do that and he looks at her for a few minutes before responding with “I don’t know.” Good luck with that.

Finally, Audrina catches up with LC to clue her in to her run-in with Jayde. Audrina is upset that Brody didn’t stand up for her, but Lauren puts it into perspective—that’s his girlfriend, Audrina! I’m sure if the situation were the other way around, you’d want him to act the same way.

Fresh off her chat with Audrina, Lauren heads to lunch with Brody—how is she so skinny when she goes out to eat so much? Anyway, Brody is really upset about what happened, and looks like he’s totally been through war. Lauren tells him he better not blame Audrina because it really was Brody’s job to stay loyal to his GF. Nice try, LC, but Brody still thinks it might be best to squash his friendship with Audrina to save his budding romance with Jayde.

What do you think? Should Brody end his friendship with Audrina? Is Jayde a good match for the Brodster? What about Heidi and Spencer? Will Spencer keep his creepy flesh-colored beard indoors for a while to stop all the fighting?
