First Kiss
It is really hard to explain,
How I truly feel,
At first I thought it was some joke,
Now I know it’s real.
I’m sitting right here next to you,
With this feeling in my heart,
It’s strange but it’s growing still,
I don’t want to be apart.
We both know there’s something here,
Everyone else says they do too,
This feeling is something I can’t explain,
I want to be with you.
You look at me and I at you,
There is something in your eyes,
It is something we can’t explain,
In our minds we compromise.
I tilt my head,
You do the same,
I close my eyes,
This is no game.
As our lips touch,
There’s a sense of bliss,
It’s quick and simple,
But it’s still our first kiss.
