SYTYCD Recap: Flippin' for Fun Facts

Last night the top nine couples danced to win America’s vote to stay…and what a dance off it was!
Kicking off the night was Randi and Evan with a jive that screamed F-U-N! After sharing with America Randi’s love for her dog and Evan’s obsession with cars, the two started the show off with a bang as judge Lil ‘C put it.
Next was couple, Melissa and Ade, who blew the judges away with an even more impressive jazz routine. This week’s dance was about a girl playing hard to get for a man who hates to lose, and they could not have nailed it any better!
Jason and Caitlin were third with a hip-hop love routine. Nigel was the only judge that complimented the couple on looking good while the others thought it was corny and lackin’ chemistry. Personally, I believe both were off and would not be surprised to see them in the bottom three.
After finding out that Janette had awful teeth when she was younger and Brandon had never worked out a day in his life (yeah right, I don’t believe that for a second with all those muscles he’s got) the couple was up to perform the fastest disco routine ever! The 80’s fever was so hot that Lil ‘C was forced to shell out his first compliment!

Next up, Asuka and Vitolio, who had been voted in the bottom three last week, were eager to prove their character in an emotional waltz. The waltz was so “painfully beautiful” as Mary Murphy put it that it brought tears to many.

Seventh, Kayla and Max, were determined to top the sexy samba from last week with a intriguing pop-jazz routine. The dance was about a princess and a guy trying to impress her to steal the crown. Kayla has still yet to give the judges ANYTHING bad to say about her dancing and Max was quite impressive himself!
Carla and Jonathan fought to change America’s votes with a serene contemporary routine about strangers in love. While we continued to learn fun facts about each dancer, I think the most fun was seeing how amazing Jonathan was at contemporary! It even left host, Cat Deeley, with her first chills of the season!
Phillip and Jeanine attempted to show a technical tango, but the inexperienced ballroom dancers fell short. Mary gave them an “A+ for attitude,” but the dancing was sub-par, especially from Phillip.
Last was Ashley and Kupono with a very unique hip-hop routine where Ashley had to act as Kupono’s shadow. We learned more about Kupono’s OCD-isms and yes, his trusty to-do list that he STILL must check off every day. But will he be able to check off that he conquered hip-hop? The judges think not.

What do YOU think? Who stood out and who sunk to the bottom? Who couldn’t you keep your eyes off of and who would you of rather not of watched? Blog it out, here!

Also, make sure to catch the result show to find out who will be sent packing on Thursday at 9 PM ET!
