Summer stud or dud?

It's summer and I’m totally bummed because I can't see my crush anymore. I only ever saw him at school or occasionally at the mall on Fridays. I really like him but I’m afraid to tell him how I feel because he has a GF and I don't want to ruin that for him or get yelled at.

He kind of has a temper. One day at school he chased a girl around a classroom and threw something at her. So I’m kind of scared to say anything. I just really want to get over him and his attitude but I don't know how.

Hey babe, it's hard getting over a guy, and unfortunately there's no real answer or technique to doing it. It's going to take some time but eventually you'll come to terms with the reality of this guy's behavior and move on.

The truth is, this guy doesn't sound like someone who you really should be going for. For one thing, he has a girlfriend, which means he's off-limits. Put yourself in her shoes. How would you feel if you had a BF and another girl started to flirt with him? It probably wouldn't be a good idea to get in the  middle of their relationship. You should wait and see if they break up before you really confront him about your feelings.

More importantly though, you say this boy has a temper and has thrown things at another girl. No girl should ever have a guy exhibit violence toward her. Ever.

If you think this could happen to you with this guy, take it as a red flag and move on before it even becomes a problem for you. If he's thrown things at someone before, he will do it again. You deserve much better than that!

To move on, try enjoying your summer with your gal pals and just have fun! If you're extra outgoing and try new things, chances are you'll meet tons of new cuties along the way. Maybe you'll even find one who likes you and treats you like a gentleman!
