Stretch mark situation

I'm not overweight, I do not have big thighs and I’m not super active. However, I have stretch marks on the insides of my upper thighs.

How do I get rid of them? I'm only 14! Aren't I too young to have stretch marks? Why do I have them? HELP!

Hey Girl!

Unfortunately, stretch marks happen to a lot of us--I know how annoying they are! The good news is that stretch marks do go away with time. And while there isn’t much we can do to prevent them, there are things we can do to make them blend into your skin better in the meantime.

A lot of dermatologists suggest tons and tons of soothing body lotions: preferably Cocoa Butter, a moisturizer that helps as a stretch mark inhibitor and cure, or vitamin E gel. Put some around the trouble areas twice a day--once after you shower, once before you go to bed.

Some women use special creams that are supposed to specifically target stretch marks. But they can be expensive, and aren’t all that much more effective than ol' moisturizer. Ask your mom for some help picking one out if you think this is the best choice for you!

Increasing your circulation can diminish stretch marks, too. Get plenty of exercise, and use this as an excuse to get a massage (it’s an awesome way to help those marks go buh-bye!). Still have stretch mark probs? See a dermo for even more advice.

Good luck!
