It's what's inside that counts?!

I have a crush on this guy. He’s amazing. He’s a black belt in Tang Soo Do, plays the violin, and reads like crazy! We're best friends and we both like each other and we’re so much alike! It’s almost perfect but he's definitely not the cutest looking guy. I just LOVE his personality and our friendship.

My problem is that my BFF is coming to visit and she knows that I have an eye for hot boys and if she sees him and I tell her that he’s the boy I like, she’s going to think differently about me. She’ll say that he's not cute and I know I'll just feel really bad about my crush and I can't do that because I like him like CRAZY! I can't lie. Help!

Hey Girl!

I know that our besties can be our greatest influence and confidants, but we gotta remember to stay real to who we are and what we like! Of course, we want our girls to like the one we're crushin' on or the one we're with, but at the same time we gotta remember that only one of us is actually DATING this lucky guy.

When you like someone and are feeling the butterfly feeling deep down inside, it's for specific reasons that pertain only to YOU and no one else! If this guy makes you smile, feel happy and comfortable all the time, then that's all that truly matters. As they say "beauty is in the eye of the beholder", and if their looks or style is totally off the charts, their personality, charm and kindness can mean 10 times more as far as the overall looks of the person.

When your BFF comes to visit, try not to worry or stress too much. She will hopefully what you see in your guy and will be happy that you're happy! A real best friend wants just that for their BFF. And remember, you like him for all the right reason just for you and if you're smiling then you have nothing to worry about, you're the one who's dating him girlie, no one else!
