DEAR CAROL: Breast Embarrassment

I have a friend who makes fun of the way my breasts are growing faster than hers. One night we were playing Truth or Dare.

She dared me to lift my shirt, so I did. She laughed like a hyena.

--Embarrassed

Dear Embarrassed:

Your friend acted rudely, and I don't blame you for getting upset. She probably feels self-conscious about her own chest and confused, or even envious, about your being more physically mature-but that's still no excuse.

At this point, either let it go, or say, "I'm still angry about the other night, and I think you should apologize." Ideally, friends build each other up instead of knocking each other down. Girls who realize this wind up with more friends in the long run.
