Passion for Fashion: Fashion Week Junior

We’ve got the scoop on your new video game fix, and just in time for fashion week.

Prepare to cut, sew, and iron your way through a career as a top designer in Fashion Week Junior: Designer (in stores now) for Nintendo DS. If you have a passion for fashion like I do, you will def love this fun and easy game.

Get ready to live the life of a high fashion designer. In this game, you get to choose your own character (there are four stylin’ divas to pick from) and move through an exciting career as an employee of famous fashion designer Zoe. Each mission asks you to design an outfit, allowing you to make your own signature look with all of the essential tools—scissors, needle, hands, iron, sewing machine, paint and glue.
Evaluation and critique, always a must in the fashion industry, is also included in the game. At the end of each mission, your outfit is given a “style evaluation.” If you hit the mark and choose the best styles offered, you score the best evaluation. Simple!

Underneath all the glam, though, there is a more serious plot to the game. Rival designer Mr. Gray is trying to make a fashion world…with no color! As the newest addition to stylist Zoe’s team, players must help in the battle against Mr. Gray, hopefully saving the world from his horrible plan.

While many of us aren’t lucky enough to score seats at the real fashion week, Fashion Week Junior: Designer lets you feel part of the action. So grab your DS, get creative and prepare to enter the world of high couture…then come back and let us know your thoughts.

Are you a creative chica? Who’s your favorite designer? Blog about it, fashionistas.
