Dress up your desk

With a hectic school sched it’s easy for your desk to become a catchall for  your cleats and clarinet. Not anymore, girl. It’s time to ditch the clutter and cut out the chaos. A clear workspace means less stress and less time searching for your calculator.
Here are some fab tips to help you get organized (and stay that way!). Plus, we’re giving away some pretty pens!

Pitch some pens
Get rid of stuff you don’t need. Go through you pens, pencils, markers, etc. and toss anything that doesn’t work. Keep your faves in a pretty mug or pencil holder.

See ya sticky notes
Your desk will look much neater sans sticky notes. Instead, hang a bulletin board behind your desk to tack up important reminders. Keep a calendar handy to jot down important dates.

Be ready for the random
Have one folder for each class, and store important papers in it. Got some random stuff that’s too vital to toss? Keep a box, file or magazine holder handy to store ’em. At the end of every week or so, go through it and weed out what’s essential and get rid of the rest.

Feel the feng shui
There’s nothing wrong with trying to bring a little positive energy to your desk. For wisdom, neatly stack your books (school or just some favorites) in far left-hand corner. For wealth and prosperity, place a plant in that corner. Make sure you keep it alive and healthy, though. Dead plants don’t bring any energy!

Brighten Up
Yellow and orange are two hues that bring good vibes to your work area. Hang a pretty (but not too distracting) poster in pretty citrus hues nearby.
