10 steps to a rockin' New Year!

Haven't made a resolution yet? It's time to put all your fears aside and seize the day. Say adios to the girl who was afraid to take risks and say aloha to an all-new Y-O-U!
Dare to be bold. Do one thing every day that scares you. Start small by smiling at your crush in the hall and work your way up to auditioning for the spring musical. You’ll have supermodel self-confidence in no time.
Pick up a new hobby. Like taking pictures? Turn your passion into a scrapbook for your friends. Love shopping for jewelry? Get crafty and make your own! Or try something completely different like martial arts. You just might love it.
Get to know yourself. You schedule in lacrosse practice and dates with your cutie, so make sure you pencil in some quality time with numero uno—yep, that's YOU, lady! Spend your alone time doing what you love and just relax.
Save some dough. Sure, you could blow your allowance on the latest trends. Or you could stash some away and save up for something super like a new iPod or camera. You’ll feel more responsible and have something serious to show for it.
Drop the habit. Whether it’s biting your nails or your addiction to the caf's cheese fries, a new year gives you the chance to start fresh. Share your goal with close friends and family members and ask them to help you stay on track. A great support group is the key to kicking your habit to the curb...for good!
Be unapologetic. You should never have to say you’re sorry for being yourself. Your real friends will accept you and love you exactly the way you are…no questions asked. Stay true to you and hang with people who love ya as is.
Expand your horizons. Take a trip around the world with your tummy. Once a month, discover a new tasty treat, like Thai food or sushi. Sorry, ladies. Chinese food and pizza don’t count.
Smile every day. Show off those pearly whites every chance you get. It’s easier than frowning and better for your health. Everyone, including your crush, will wonder what you’re smiling about. Turning your frown upside down also makes you seem more open and friendlier. Get set to score some new buds.
Unplug for a minute. Take a break from updating your Facebook status and spend some real time with your friends and fam face-to-face. It’s more personal and fulfilling than talking online or texting away.
Dance like nobody’s watching. Get in touch with your inner Beyoncé. You don’t have to be the world’s greatest dancer, just feel comfortable in your own skin. Nobody’s judging you. Go diva!
